40 years later, 9 kids, 9 kids in law and 54 grandkids there is just a lot of us and a lot of bellies to fill so in the busy-ness of it all we try a few hobbies and they have become our passions……
Our once small little 20x40 fenced in garden turned into a geothermal greenhouse, where we are experimenting and learning to grow citrus, berries, grapes, and few other odds and ends.
2023 fall we have included a new raised bed area with our small traditional greenhouse in hopes to increase our production of all that home grown goodness we have come to love.
Then in the mix of our ranching hobby (and trying to keep 6 boys and 3 girls busy and out of trouble) and now the grandkids hanging out and needing something to to do our passion for animals left us with a menagerie of coming and going on the ranch. Which brings us to……
YES! GOATS! you heard me right GOATS!!!!!!!!!
Never in a thousand years did I ever think we would be milking GOATS, and loving it!(even the MR. Williamson is loving it!! The milk, the yogurt, the ice cream, the cheese ( so far have only made ricotta) the pudding, all of it is soooooooo good!! Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!!! I’m telling you it is sooooo good, delicious, smooth, creamy, yummy!!! I’m not even kidding, but anyways, you will just have to try it for yourself. I really hope you do!! You won’t be disappointed!! All this, and a whole lot more!
